GSCI is a structured self-assessment, not an independent audit. A school works through the criteria itself and records evidence against each one. That is a real and checkable thing — the evidence is stored, the score is computed from weights rather than asserted, and the certificate code resolves publicly. It is not the same as an inspector visiting, and this page will not call it one.

  • SAF-1 Fire safety certificate current, drills recorded
  • SAF-2 Transport: vehicles fit, drivers verified, capacity respected
  • SAF-3 Off-site activity risk assessments recorded before approval
  • SAF-4 Entry and exit controlled, visitors passed through a register
TCH Teaching and learning 4 criteria · weight 7
  • TCH-1 Timetable published, teacher load within a stated limit
  • TCH-2 Curriculum mapped across the year, per subject
  • TCH-3 Lessons captured, homework set and marked within a stated turnaround
  • TCH-4 Staff development hours met against a published expectation

  • OUT-1 Assessment cycle published and followed
  • OUT-2 Attendance above the board minimum for the cohort
  • OUT-3 Learners below threshold identified and supported, with a record
INC Inclusion and wellbeing 3 criteria · weight 5
  • INC-1 Reasonable adjustments recorded and reviewed
  • INC-2 RTE obligations met and evidenced
  • INC-3 Wellbeing route for learners, known to staff and families
ENG Family engagement 3 criteria · weight 5
  • ENG-1 Guardians have direct access to attendance, progress and fees
  • ENG-2 Consent recorded per purpose and withdrawable
  • ENG-3 Documents issued to families and independently verifiable
